History Tokuji Hayakawa - Company Founder Sharp


Tokuji Hayakawa was born in 1893 in Tokyo, Japan. Tokuji Hayakawa is the founder of the Japanese electronics company named SHARP. Tokuji Hayakawa was born in a very difficult situation in conditions of poverty which is owned by his family, Tokuji Hayakawa was later adopted by the Sato family. He heard the fact that he adopted was not until adulthood. He then left the elementary school after the second grade due to a very poor family conditions, and he was then apprenticed to a metal ornament makers. He worked diligently and well in order to enhance its expertise in the field of metals and understanding of trade and sales, due to perseverance and hard work, he earned the trust of his boss.

Although belts have been used since ancient times for accessories such as armor and boots, which then began to be used on a belt for pants boys in the 15th century and later for use in women's clothing in the 19th century. When Hayakawa launched belts his creation in 1912, the demand in Japan for the belt increases with the spread of Western-style models. However, Hayakawa and other craftsmen have not had time to wear Western-style clothes and belts. Hayakawa by chance seeing a movie actor who is less happy with the model he used his belt. This then became the inspiration him to spend time creating a belt or a new belt that can be tied long. He then developed a belt or waistband that unique creation.

His boss then admire ciptaaanya and recommend Tokuji to apply for a patent. He suggested the name "Tokubijo" Tokuji adopt one of the characters for the name of patent rights. Because of the pressure to deliver products on time, Tokuji decided to build a factory to produce his creations. He was then able to get out and pay all his debts. He continued to improve manufacturing processes for its products and expand its business to a larger stage.

In 1913, Hayakawa obtained a patent of an innovative water taps, and in 1915, he also developed a prototype of a mechanical pencil that is still sold today. After that he showed intelligence manajerialnnya by expanding the company into the electronics manufacturing business which later became one of the world famous brand products called "SHARP", name "Sharp" is taken from the name of the first discovery of the company's founder Tokuji Hayakawa mechanical pencil findings "Ever-Sharp" which was created in the year

Tokuji Hayakawa said that There is a lot of hard work involved in the product development process to market. If the product is successful, other companies will come out with similar products. They say the Japanese are good at imitating, even though some people criticize it from the standpoint of business ethics. However, what he said to the division of his company is "making products that others want to emulate." Products that can be replicated is a good product that consumers want, the products are sold. Therefore, if you are always trying to come out with a superior product that will mimic the competitors, and the company will continue to grow. Imitation lead to competition, improve the level of technology and lead to progress in society. However, the company has always pursued derived product, so it must think of the next products and continued research. And the company can not be complacent and satisfied with just a good product. It can not be complacent just because it is the inventor or originator of the product. Companies should do some research to make better products, because the people who get the most out of the products they develop.

Tokuji Hayakawa also active in social welfare programs. He died in 1981 at age 86. Since then Sharp Corporation continues to develop into one of the world's leading electronics companies. Sharp manufactures a variety of consumer electronics products. Includes LCD TV with AQUOS brand name, mobile phones, microwave ovens, Home Cinema and audio systems, Air Purifier, Air Conditioning, facsimile machines and calculators.
